Introduction

In the last month I have decided to carry out the AQA Extended project qualification. I have made this decision as primarily, I am looking for further studies and projects to add to my UCAS application. I am also looking forward to the challenge of balancing this with my other subject areas that I am currently studying. I have decided to complete the EPQ (extended project qualification) in the form of an artefact. Specifically a video. To record the progress of my project i am going to be drawing on techniques gain in my time in year 12.
How will i record my project
In Media studies we recorded are project on www.blogger.com and in my Graphical Products class I used Microsoft office and Publisher so present my work on A3 sheets. As I am comfortable with these methods i will be using them both in recording this project from concept right through to evaluation.
By using Blogger I will be able to keep up to date on my project at home or at school without having the hassle or bringing in a transportable copy on a removable hard drive such as a USB stick as blogger is solely online.
So far?
So far I have been given an introduction from my teacher (Mrs Fernandez) to the project and all it involves. I have completed a record of initial planning which I will post on here as a photograph. This involves my initial ideas on what to base my project on. I have also had an interview with my mentor to discuss my ideas and the potential problems I could encounter. This was also recorded via the initial planning sheet.
What i look forward to
I am excited to start my EPQ and as it suggests in the extended project student handbook. To develop and demonstrate independent research and study skills that admissions officers and employers look for.
